Bookings are going well for Carol’s Charity Lunch in Taunton. The event promises to be a great day with ladies coming from all over the country to meet, chat, drink, chat, have lunch, chat and possibly dance a little.
The event is taking place in Taunton Rugby Club, on Saturday 6th June this year. The event will start at 11:30am with a welcome drink. Followed by a three course meal. It is expected that the lunch will finish around 4:30pm.

Lunch Details
Attendees can select from the following.
Starter Options:
- Duck & Orange Pate, with melba toast, cumberland sauce, mixed leaves, and a balsamic dressing

- Thai spiced fish cake, with a pak choi and beansprout salad, served with a spicy soy, ginger and chilli reduction
- Shortcrust baked goat’s cheese tart, with red onion marmalade, mixed leaves and vinaigrette

Main Course Options:
- Roasted chicken breast with crushed potatoes and a mushroom & brandy sauce
- (a gluten free option is available on request)
- Pan-fried salmon fillet with sautéed spinach, crushed potatoes and a creamy dill & white wine sauce

- Mediterranean vegetable Wellington
- (the vegetarian option)
Dessert Options: (possibly the best bit!)
- Vanilla pannacotta with mixed berries and a raspberry coulis

- Lemon tart with a fruit coulis
The meal will be followed with a choice of tea or coffee.
Entertainment
On the day we will be joined by Sian Johnson, a representative from the Alzheimer’s Society, who will talk about the charity and the good work that they do.
In addition the ladies will also be entertained by a long-term friend of Carol & Rod, who will sing for the group during the afternoon, possibly allowing the ladies to get up and dance a little!
Carol and her team will have the mobile shop at the event providing an opportunity to buy some goodies and help support Carol’s charity. You can take a look at a selection of the items for sale on the Retail Therapy page.
The team are offering Event Pickup at the lunch. So if you want to order items ahead of time, and guarantee getting them, you can pre-order and select to pick up at the lunch at check-out.
