Alzheimer’s Society
With nearly one million living with the condition, it affects us all and it devastates lives.
Its cruelty overwhelms those living with it. Its scale overwhelms the NHS, social care and the economy. Its complexity poses overwhelming challenges in how we research, diagnose and treat it.
At Alzheimer’s Society, we know the steps it will take to create a future where dementia no longer devastates lives and we’re leading the way, taking those crucial steps together with people from all the spheres of life dementia touches.
Only together can we understand all aspects of dementia and deliver the transformational impact we can uniquely achieve, as the only dementia charity giving support to those who need it through our incredible Dementia Advisers and support groups such as Singing for the Brain, campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
It will take a whole society to beat dementia – thank you for being part of that.

Dementia Friends
“How fabulous would it be to see lots of Members taking part in a Dementia Friends session: in-person or virtually in your Clubs or even by watching the short video individually online. Please let me know when you have done so! Carol xx”
Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends initiative is all about increasing people’s understanding of dementia and inspiring everyone to make a difference for people affected by the condition in their communities. Many people living with dementia feel isolated and left out because dementia is still so misunderstood. This lack of understanding makes it harder for people with the condition to stay independent and feel connected to their communities.
Dementia Friends help to change that by using their awareness to do simple, everyday things that matter – helping people with dementia live their lives to the fullest.
To find out more go to the Dementia Friends website or contact email Dementia Friends UK to arrange your in-person or virtual session.
